Donating on-line at I Give Where I Live is as secure as state-of-the-art technology allows. Each igivewhereilive.net affiliate chooses their own online donation service. When you make a donation online, your credit card information goes to the online donation service, then the service sends payment to the nonprofit(s) listed at I Give Where I Live.Typically, a three- to four-percent service charge is substracted frοm your donation by the online donation service to cover its costs. Credit card services typically charge businesses the same fee. Normally, you can print a receipt showing the amount of your donation. No part of your donation goes to support I Give Where I Live.

Of course, you may send a check directly to any of the non-profit organizations listed here. Their contact information is included on each page aong with a link to each organization's website, where even more information will help you select non-profits you wish to donate to, or volunteer to help.

If you have questions after reading the description of an organization listed at I Give Where I Live, we encourage you to contact the non-profit and speak with its executive director or development director before choosing to make your donation. Their names are listed at the top of each non-profit profile. Or, you can use the link to Guidestar, if provided, for viewing a non-profit's IRS form 990.

We hope this site will make it even easier for you to say, "I give where live."
